Amdahl's Law

Amdahl’s Law is a formal definition which describes by how much a program could be sped up by extra hardware resources:

$S(n)=\frac{1}{1-p+(p/s)}s\le n$

Where:

$p$ → proportion of single processor time we can parallelise $n$ →> number of parallel processors $s$ → parallel speedup ratio
